James Cuthill is a Professional Grade solo competitor, a professional music teacher, a professional pipe band leader, and an exam approved solo piping and pipe band adjudicator.

James has won countless prizes over the years, in both solo and band competitions, in the United States, Canada, and Scotland. Awards include multiple wins in the Western United States Championships, North American Championships, and World Championships.

On multiple occasions James has been selected, out of only twelve pipers globally, to play at prestigious invitational in Canada and the U.S.

As a teacher of the pipes, James trains students of all ages, and abilities. Through his dedication to teaching, his students continuously win prizes of their own.

James Cuthill has an extensive repertoire on the Great Highland Bagpipe, and over 20 years of high standard experience performing in all settings.

James is currently the Director and Head Piping instructor for the  Colorado Youth Pipe Band
